Will students be granted excuse forms so that they can attend sessions?

No. All journalism classes will be cancelled during the festival to allow students to attend. 

How will students make up the missing classwork?

All journalism classes will be canceled during Mustang Media Fest so that students can fully participate in as many events as possible. Classwork will either be reassigned or rescheduled.

Is there a dress code?

Attendees are encouraged to dress in business casual attire Wednesday through Friday. On Saturday’s Hall of Fame Gala, attendees are encouraged to wear semi-formal clothing.. 

Can any student attend?

Absolutely! All majors are welcome. Whether you’re into storytelling, tech design, or media ethics, there’s something for everyone. 

Are there any giveaways?

Yes! Participate in activities like the scavenger hunt and win prizes such as Mustang Media Fest merch, gift cards, and Cal Poly swag.
